Chapter 2: Elevator Shaft

Introduction:

You've earned a second chance at freedom, but its slim.

About 3 months ago, Edward hired a man named John Peterson to help him make some "engineering changes" to an elevator shaft on his property. John quickly figured out that these changes he was being asked to make were indeed sinister in nature. When he confronted Edward, he was told that he could not leave until the project was finished or else his wife and daughter would pay the price.

The project is complete and John is long dead. You've found yourself locked inside the elevator shaft. Will you and your friends be able to follow the steps John put in place for you? Or will you perish under the weight of a 6 ton steel elevator?

The atmosphere of this escape room was creepy. Our game master, Jordan, was very nice and encouraging. She told us not to be scared as she saw how scared we were. She led us into a small black room with a TV monitor to talk about the story. The sound in that black room was loud and it didn't help that the movie had creepy elements.

After the video, a door opened into a dark room. The room was fairly small and to have 6 people in there would be pretty packed. We were in an elevator shaft and we needed to escape before the elevator came down on us from above. Don't worry, I touched the elevator bottom and it was made of foam. We good! LOL. The puzzles were clever and creative. Careful reading, looking eveyrwhere as well as the utilization of teamwork are very crucial for this escape room.

Overall, this escape room was a thriller. I have never felt the most stressed out in an escape room BUT it was very fun. I have never seen an escape like this one!
