Summary

  • Recommend 3-4 escape artists
  • Good for beginners and families
  • Lock and key puzzles with some technology

I went to Canada to visit my mother for mother's day. My mom has done an escape room with my dad and I previously, however, my mom did not have a good experience. She said, "It's too stressful". I was able to persuade my mom to participate in an escape with just her and I. Hehe!

The escape room owners were very nice and recommended this room because it was their "best" room.

Puzzles: It was typical study room with interesting puzzles. A lot of the puzzles use the environment. My mom had difficulties understanding the clues and puzzles, however, we did solve ONE together. It was glorious achievement! There's a lot of lock and keys. 1.5 generation vibes. There was one math puzzle that I enjoyed.

Immersion: The study looked clean. Some of the equipment and books in the room looked very overused but I know that's wear and tear stuff. The second room was good but nothing out of the ordinary.

Fun Factor: It was fun because I failed it with my mother. LOL. It was quality time with my mom which matter in the end. The escape room was fun but I know if I had my normal escape room team, we would've breezed through everything. It's a good room for beginners and families, for sure!

***Doing escape rooms in and near Los Angeles have made my escape room standards pretty high. I wanted to write this review as neutral as I can a not compare it too much to the high-end escape room culture of Los Angeles.
