Summary

  • Recommend 2-4 escape artists
  • Live actor
  • Good escape room for newbies
  • Cool adaptations to typewriter and labels
  • Use heat!

The secretary, Eryn, and our live actor, Jessica, were very nice people. It was Amber and I's first time having a live actor in the room to tell us the story and assist us when we needed help.

Amber and I were hoping for a private room, however, the family we played with were very sweet and from San Francisco! The kiddos were full of energy and did not take away from the game. It was nice to meet them prior to our game to get to know them a little better.

The room was well-decorated and the puzzles were not too challenging, as the children with us were also able to comprehend and solve the puzzles. The flow of the room was very multi-linear, which helped our group to divide and conquer. The live actor in the room was a good touch. They were not a distraction and only interacted when we needed a hint.

Although it was fairly easy, our favorite aspect of the escape room was the unique clues and puzzles we have not seen before. Paying for parking was the only downside but it's Downtown Portland.
