I would like to thank Adam from LA Dragon Studios for helping us book our escape room experience. Although we weren't able to meet him, he was very friendly.
Van Nuys was a far ~2hr drive for my group and I coming from the Inland Empire. Was it worth it? YES! The escape room was easy to find because of the dragon on the top of a professional building.
I believe that LA Dragon Studio strives to be a family friendly escape room. From introduction video to the toy swords that could be purchased to the recent addition of an arcade, it's obvious why LA Dragon Studios have won so many awards for being family friendly. I haven't seen an escape room emphasize the aspect of family friendliness like they do.
Puzzles: Most of the puzzles were good and challenging. Loved the interactions with the environment. I can imagine a child say, "COOOOLLLL!". There was one puzzle my group didn't like because of how specific it was. The puzzles didn't have any "Wow!" factor but were solid. The puzzles are suitable and enjoyable for families.
Immersion: Very well done. Loved how many rooms were involved in the experience and the differences between them. The craftsmanship of each room was crisp and definitely transported us to the time of King Arthur.
Fun Factor: It was a good escape experience. This escape room is definitely one for families with children should experience. There is one room that could too dark/scary for smaller children.
