First Impressions

After doing Excalibur, we were super excited to try out Operation Longbow. Nathan, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly like always. We were told that this escape room was different from the other three MindTrap games due to it’s action-theme.

As I’m writing this review, it has been a little over 3 months ever since we escaped from this room. It is still an escape room my team and I talk about. It’s for sure one of our favorites of 2019.

Puzzles

The puzzles were fun and a breath of fresh air. Having done +100 rooms, I begin to appreciate fresh take on puzzles. The puzzles and puzzle flow were also well-designed for big groups. On the website, MindTrap recommends 3-8 people. We recommend 4-6 escape artists for a good run, although, I feel there are enough puzzles to keep a group of 8 people busy. We have a team member who made the following comment,

“All the puzzles we did in this room are actually things we would do if we were in this war situation!" - Andrew.

Immersion

Top notch! MindTrap is always known for their great immersive aspects. Shout out to Labyrinth in their part of designing this well-done escape room. My favorite part of the escape room was the intensity caused by the yelling of a German solider over the PA and the GM shouting us our hints in a German accent. LOL!

Value

Great value. Worth every penny!

Should you play it?

Just go. Don’t even think about it.
