Summary

  • Recommend 4-6 escape artists
  • 90 minutes time limit
  • Drugs and 90's LA gangster theme
  • Super fun!

First Impressions

The escape room has one of the shadiest websites I have ever seen. The information found on the website was vague but at the same time humorous. What was cool is that they used ebonics and "street talk" which I haven't seen before. My expectations of this escape room were limited to what I've learned from facebook - find the drugs.

Upon arrival at the escape room, there was no big escape room sign, just a paper on a door. How hidden the escape room added to how unique this escape room was.

Puzzles

The puzzles were associated with gangster hip-hop/rap and LA gangs in the 90s. The theme resonated with me because I grew up listening to gangster rap in the 90s. The puzzles were very unique and some were not family appropriate (ie. drugs and strippers). The puzzles were very creative, challenging and entertaining.

Immersion

Loved the set design. Loved the transitioning into rooms and the use of a space. Totally felt like a gangster during the experience.

Value

GREAT VALUE! Even though it's on the expensive side, it's still worth it.

Should you play it?

OF COURSE! It's one the best in LA for its theme and uniqueness.
