The Hex Room
Introduction: Can you survive a horror film? This murderous horror movie fan wants to watch you try. Each player will take a quiz before the game to find out which character they are: The Nerd, Virgin, Jock, Rebel, Prom Queen, or Detective. Your team will be divided up into separate rooms where you must work individually and as a team. Not only do you need to escape, but you must also survive! Who will live? Who will die?

The Hex Room has been rated the top escape room in California and Amber and I were excited to try it with a team of family and friends we had assembled. Each member first completes a questionnaire upon arriving. This questionnaire is to determine your role. Don't lie about your fears as the game masters will put you in a room best suited for you. I was given Prom Queen and Amber as given the Rebel.
Before the escape room starts, the game master blindfolds each person and leads them to their assigned room. There are a big room that is surrounded by 5 mini rooms. The big room is where the detectives are. Teamwork and communication is very essential for this escape room as some rooms may have clues for rooms.
The rooms were very detailed to the roles it was assigned to and it made the experience very immersive. If you have more than 6 people, they will double up in the role of the game master's choosing.
This escape room was so fun as it was very unique from the story to the setup of escape room.
