Summary

  • Recommend 3-4 escape artists

  • Good for newbie teams

  • Multi-linear

  • Solid 2nd generation escape room

First Impressions

Arcane Escape Rooms is in Newhall, which is a community in Santa Clarita. Newhall is small and quaint with cowboy/western vibes. We were recommended to try Arcane Escape Rooms by a GM friend. Arcane Escape Rooms is located on the 4th floor of a business building and there’s TONS of parking due to the lack of businesses.

Upon arrival, we met John, who was very kind and professional. The start of the escape room was very cool because it was creepy and dark. We didn’t know what to expect.

Puzzles

The puzzle flow was consistently multi-linear, which our team enjoyed. Some of the puzzles were familiar to us, but there were a few puzzles that were unique. Were the puzzles “ground breaking”? No. The most important part of the puzzles were their enjoyableness. Arcane Escape Rooms incorporated technology very well in this escape room.

Immersion

The immersion of the escape room was good. It was able to maintain a creepy vibe throughout the experience.

Value

Due to the easy difficulty level, this escape room has good value for experienced escape artists. If you’re a newbie starting in the escape room realm, this would be a good escape room for you!

Should you play it?

Yes! Do it for the puzzles.
