First Impressions
This room was very new when booked our escape experienced. Chapter 2 opened on October 4, 2018. This was the sequel to The 13th Room which was a good escape room. The description for this escape room was very vague. It mentioned words like “twists”, “next generation” and “hellevator”. It was quite intriguing and our group did not know what to expect.
When got to the door, we were given messages provided through a mail slot giving us the rules and instructing us to enter the room. One thing that made this room so much different from other rooms is the fact that we couldn’t talk to each other!!! WHAT?!?
Puzzles
The puzzles were not super challenging, however, they were still good. After the experience, our GMs, Eddy and Carla, told us that they modified the amount of puzzles since launching the room. There was some minimal technological issues, however, it just made the room more intense and difficult in a goooood way.
Immersion
The set up was simple, however, very well put together. If you have done Alchemy & Wizardry, you will noticed some similar items/furniture from that room in this one! THROWBACK! lol. Yes, there’s a “hellevator” used. Don’t worry, you won’t stay in there….for long…
I don’t want to give away the best parts of this room. Just know that there was an actor. The use of the actor was very well executed in a way I haven’t seen before and I have done +120 rooms at this point. This room was not demonic scary, it was more thrilling than anything. Eddy and Carla did a splendid job in regards to creating the story, flow and mechanics of the room. Bravo! Your room broke my rating system!
Value
GREAT VALUE for that money you will be spending for this room.
Should you play it?
DEFINITELY YES! This room was one of a kind and it’s hard for me to not spoil this room for you. It has been awhile since I had my heart racing like this. This room is comparable to what the anxiety felt with Elevator Shaft. Book this room and tell the Doctor that GTFO sent you….or wait….don’t tell him. ;)
